This artist-designer whose works encompass different disciplines of art is known for the large-scale and size of his artistic creations that often require a space outside of a conventional gallery as well as call upon the utilization of waste materials within his works of art. One of his most notable projects is the installation he did for the Seoul Olympic Stadium where he covered the architecture’s entire surface with used plastic bottles which brought about diversified interpretations from the aspect of environmental problems to the role and importance of gallery when artists today are able to facilitate a direct interaction with the audience.   Choi Jeong Hwa was one of the artists chosen to be a part of the 2005’s Venice Biennale.
