Jitsing Somboon (Thailand) ‘Paths of Faith’ 2018 installation/clothes made of micro poly fabric with silkscreen print, CNC cut on plywood sheets, and steel with white color 170 x 50 x 170 cm. Art for sharing His works and artistic interest are a cross between design, painting and sculpture with adaptations of different presentational methods such as the use of lightbox or a laser-cut technique to create a dimensional volume on the canvas. At Wat Pho where thousands of visitors pay respect to the Reclining Buddha, Jitsing designed 'Faithway' (2018) with white attire in Thai, Chinese and English for visitors to wear. As the procession of people silently enter the sacred realm they become reciprocal entities of Jitsing's pursuit of faith. Moving beside the gigantic Buddha who is in the state of nirvana, participants move in a circumambulatory fashion as sounds of coins chink against alms bowls. 'Paths of Faith' is performed daily for 4 months during Bangkok Art Biennale.
