We recently sat down with Akiko Miki, a member of the Bangkok Art Biennale 2024 Curatorial Team, to discuss this year's theme 'Nurture Gaia'.

Akiko, the former Chief and Senior Curator of Palais de Tokyo (Paris, 2000-2014), Co-director of Yokohama Triennale 2017, and Artistic Director of its 2011 edition, has curated countless international exhibitions, including the 1998 Taipei Biennial and shows for renowned artists like Nobuyoshi Araki, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and Takashi Murakami at major museums across Asia and Europe. She is also the Director of the upcoming Naoshima New Museum of Art, set to open in 2025.
